Darts Women Score Seven To Progress Through to Kent Cup Semi Final!
GoCardless Kent Women’s Cup Quarter Final, played on Sunday 18th January 2026.
The Darts Women were back on home soil as they kicked off 2026 with a Kent Women’s Cup quarter final against Ebbsfleet Utd Women.
The home side began the game on the front foot and went close early in the first half. In the 8th minute, a free kick from Gabby Howell found Shauni Griffiths in the box. The Darts forward shot towards goal, only for the shot to come back off the post.
The Darts continued to dominate the chances in the first half and went ahead minutes before the break. In the 42nd minute, the Darts were awarded a penalty and Amina Hanif stepped up and calmly slotted home to put the team ahead at half time.
The home side began the second half in similar vain to the first and got the second goal just before the hour mark. In the 57th minute, the home side were awarded their second penalty of the game. Darts defender Abbey Davies stepped up and slotted home from 12 yards to extend the lead.
The side began to create more chances as the half went on and goal number three came their way midway through the half. In the 69th minute, a cross from Abbey Davies caused pinball inside the Ebbsfleet box. The ball fell to Darts captain, Xayla-Rae Alberts, who fired home from close range.
The home side extended the lead minutes later. In the 77th minute, Abbey Davies crossed from the right and found Lizzie Adams in the box. The Darts midfielder got in behind the Ebbsfleet defence and fired home from inside the 6yd box.
The hosts made it five three minutes later. In the 80th minute, Amina Hanif got in behind the Ebbsfleet defence with a weaving run and fired past the on-rushing keeper to make it five for the Darts.
The final two goals came in stoppage time. In the 91st minute, Darts forward Paris Smith headed home from the edge of the box to make it six. In the 92nd minute, Paris Smith got her second goal of the game with the final kick of the half.
