Today’s weather: Colder than usual, sleet possible
Monday’s weather is expected to be colder than is typical for this time of year, with temperatures only set to reach 11 degrees Celsius inland, 13 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and just a single degree above freezing in the mountains.
Light rain and sleet will be possible, particularly in mountainous areas.
Overnight, the skies will be largely clear, with temperatures set to drop to a chill two degrees Celsius inland, six degrees Celsius on the coast, and minus three degrees Celsius in the mountains.
As such, frost is expected to form inland and in the mountains ahead of Tuesday morning.
The skies are expected to remain largely clear on Tuesday, with clouds expected to form on Wednesday and Thursday, and cold temperatures set to remain.
While no snow is forecast, the depth of snow atop Mount Olympus was 21 centimetres at dawn.
