Grey, showery and waves
Hello Friends,
Monday morning started with gloomy skies, passing showers and a light NE breeze. The swell’s settled a little and seemed to be slightly less lumpy and disorganised. The MHL buoy’s 0600 report showed energy coming broadly from the south around to the ENE. The dominant direction of the 2.6 metre, 10 second sell was SE. At Dee Why that meant solidly head-high sets at the point. It was bigger, but more chaotic along the beach. Unsurprisingly, the water quality is pretty suss from Bungan to Manly.
The wind is set to swing SE soon, and while we should have waves for the rest of the week, your best shot’s going to be the early before the southerly takes over.
Go well with your Monday everyone!
Weather Situation
A weakening trough is located off the northern half of the coast as a ridge builds over the NSW coast. This ridge will persist through to the middle of the week as winds gradually tend southerly.
