Tottenham sent scouts to watch £70m-rated striker in a quarter-final last week
Tottenham Hotspur are keeping an eye on a striker who has been heavily linked with a move to N17 over the past few months.
While Tottenham have been boosted by the return of Dominic Solanke, Spurs have now lost Richarlison to a fresh injury, with the Brazilian facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
It does not appear as if signing a number nine is a priority for Spurs this window, but some centre-forwards have been linked with a move to N17 over the last couple of months.
Prime among those is Porto’s Samu Aghehowa, who Spurs have reported to have made some advances towards as he continues to be prolific in front of goal.

Porto allegedly value the Spurs target at £70m, but it was reported a couple of weeks ago that Tottenham may have wait until the summer to land Aghehowa as the Portuguese club were not willing to sell their star man mid-season.
It has now been reported by A Bola (as relayed by Sport Witness) that this has not deterred Tottenham from continuing to assess the 21-year-old.
Scouts from the North London club reportedly travelled to the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday to watch Porto beat Benfica 1-0 and book their place in the semifinal of the Taca de Portugal.
The report reveals that the striker did not have the best outings in front of goal, failing to register a single shot, but he did impress with his hold-up, link-up play and won several duels.
Tottenham were not the only club to send scouts to the game, with representatives from Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Brentford also in attendance.
Spurs may have scouted two more Porto players
Sport Witness speculate that Aghehowa may not have been the only player Tottenham were watching in Porto.
It is suggested that since Spurs are missing a progressive passer in midfield, they may have paid attention to Gabri Veiga, who had an excellent outing, providing the assist for the only goal of the game.
The outlet adds that the performance of Diogo Costa in the Porto goal may have also not gone unnoticed by the Tottenham representatives, given the issues that they have had in between the sticks this season.
