First phase of renovation work at Gauripur palace nears completion
Dhubri's iconic Matiabag residence, once home to the legendary Pratima Barua Pandey, is set to be reborn as a vibrant museum, thanks to a transformative Rs 20 crore restoration backed by the Assam government since January 2023. This effort aims to honor the folk singer's extraordinary legacy and the illustrious history of the Gauripur royal family.
