New Report Lists Theme Park Injuries in Florida, Including Death on Mummy Ride
A new report documents theme park injuries in Florida last year, including the death of a woman who died after riding on the "Revenge of the Mummy" ride.
The woman's exact cause of death is not specified. However, the report, which was issued by The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, says, "Revenge of the Mummy, 70 yof, unresponsive, later passed away at the hospital." She died in November 2025 at Universal Orlando.
Major Florida theme parks, including Universal Orlando and Disney World, must self-report injuries and deaths to the state, which updates its report on a quarterly basis, according to Fox 35 Orlando. The report is pretty barebones when it comes to describing the injuries. The theme parks don't release condition updates on the injured people or their names due to privacy concerns, for example.
Disney World & Universal Orlando Reported the Most Injuries in the Last Quarter, the Report Says

According to the report, from October through December of 2025, Disney World and Universal Orlando led the way in injury reports:
- Six incidents were reported at Disney World. They include people experiencing a lack of consciousness, a seizure, and chest pains. Many of those injured were listed as having pre-existing conditions. Reads one entry, "The Seas with Nemo and Friends, 35 yof, guest with a pre-existing condition lost consciousness while experiencing the attraction."
- There were nine incidents at Universal Orlando, including the woman's death. The other symptoms include chest pain and stroke-like symptoms. "Jurassic World: VelociCoaster, 49 yof, chest pain," reads one entry.
- Legoland, SeaWorld, and Busch Gardens did not report any incidents during that time frame.
From August through September of 2025:
- SeaWorld reported one incident, described as, "Kraken, a 22-year-old patron, with reported prior medical conditions, experienced a medical illness after riding."
- Disney World reported four incidents, including two where people hit their heads.
- Universal Orlando reported seven incidents, including another fatality: "Stardust Racers, 32 yom, fatality."
- According to Florida Today, "Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, a Florida resident and theme park and roller coaster fanatic, died after suffering multiple blunt impact injuries while riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster." The newspaper reported that his death was ruled "accidental" after his family sued, and the case is now closed. A personal injury attorney is claiming that "five people suffered 'severe and permanent injuries' after riding the Stardust Racers roller coaster between April and September 2025," Florida Today reported.
- Legoland and Busch Gardens had no incidents.
In the second quarter, from April to July:
- SeaWorld had two incidents, including "Sunny Day Carousel, 78 yof, became unresponsive while on the attraction."
- Disney World reported three incidents.
- Universal had seven incidents, including people experiencing an "altered level of consciousness."
- Legoland and Busch Gardens reported no incidents.
In the first quarter, from January to March 2025:
- SeaWorld reported one incident, described as "Manta, 49 yof, syncope."
- Disney World had seven incidents, including people feeling faint or nauseated and injuring their legs.
- Universal reported three incidents, two people with leg pain and one a seizure.
- Legoland and Busch Gardens reported no incidents.
The report further recounts incidents dating back to 2001 at the major theme parks.
