• A restored version of the 1980s film “On The Edge,” starring Bruce Dern as a long-distance runner in a story inspired by Marin’s Dipsea Race, will be shown at 7 p.m. Thursday at Sequoia Cinema at 25 Throckmorton Ave. in Mill Valley. The event will feature a screening of the documentary “Sequoias of the Sea,” followed by a discussion about kelp forest collapse and a reception with Hog Island oysters and seaweed art.
