Bears or Rams? Has Ben Johnson gone too far in ripping Packers? Here's how you weighed in

Mark our words, the Bears will win Sunday against the Rams in the divisional playoff round at Soldier Field.

Either that, or they’ll lose.

Definitely one or the other.

In this week’s “Polling Place,” your home for Sun-Times sports polls on the social platform X, we sought your predictions on this all-important topic.

“They’ve been a team of destiny all season,” @RonaldVoigt4 commented. “Why stop now?”

“They will not need the [3½] points and will win straight up,” @ronw_sportsnut called it.

Next, we asked what’ll be the Bears’ biggest advantage: the home crowd? The weather? Something else?

“Something crazy might happen in the cold,” @JBIRD1268 wrote.

On the other hand, @RiisPark99 wanted to know, “If the weather is a disadvantage for the Rams, why were the Bears practicing inside?”

Last, we wanted to know if coach Ben Johnson has gone too far in his profanity-laced disparagement of the rival Packers.

“Hell no, but payback is a [bleep],” @tom_horseplayer warned.

“I know Bears fans love it,” @daruma853 weighed in, “but imagine if it was the other way around. Let’s stay classy, Chicago!”

Upshot: The next West Coast baller who likes playing in 10-degree weather will be the first. Then again, the next anybody who likes playing in 10-degree weather might be the first.

Poll No. 3: Did Bears coach Ben Johnson go too far with his profane comments about “hating” the Packers?

Upshot: We’ll have to remember to ask Johnson about this if he ever finishes washing his mouth out with soap.
