Padmashree awardee explores Ahom-Nocte links in Arunachal
A team of historians, spearheaded by Prof. Jogendra Nath Phukan, embarked on a journey to Sumsi village in Arunachal Pradesh to delve into a Maidam tied to the rich history of the Ahom dynasty. This sacred burial ground is thought to hold the remains of Swargadeo Joydhaj Singh’s mother, who was lost during an invasion in 1662.
