AHEAD OF THE GAME: Wealdstone (A)
Wealdstone vs Woking
Enterprise National League
Saturday 17th January
15:00 Kick-Off
Woking travel to Grosvenor Vale to take on a Wealdstone side sitting just below them in the National League table buoyed by last Saturday’s 4-0 win over Hartlepool.
Neal Ardley changed the formation and the team, bringing Aiden O’Brien in centrally whilst giving Josh Osude a start, who caused Pools nightmares and with Josh Kelly and Jake Forster-Caskey out injured, it should be a very similar team put out at the Vale.
Roy Syla signed earlier this week, with the 25-year-old midfielder having trained for several weeks with the Cards and he will hope to be involved.
Opposition Watch
You know the drill by now: Wealdstone have one of the lowest budgets in the division, and survival every season is a huge achievement. It looks incredibly likely this season after a ferocious start saw the Stones in the top half for some time, but injuries and player departures are now taking a toll and Sam Cox will hope his side can pick up enough points to reach the magic fifty.
The Stones have picked up 19 points at home in 12 games, but are winless in the league and indeed at home since early November. Indeed, just four wins since September resembles relegation form and they will be wary of a Woking side who have won five of their last six league away games and haven’t lost on the road since late September.
Woking are winless in their last three visits to Ruislip, with last season’s stoppage time Kallum Cesay winner for the hosts a memorable moment as they managed to stay up by the skin of their teeth. There will be no Max Kretzschmar for the Stones tomorrow after he joined Alan Dowson at Hampton and Richmond, but fan favourite at both clubs, Jack Cook, is still a regular and is just two appearances away from 200 for Wealdstone.

One to Watch
Former Crawley and Notts County winger Enzio Boldewijn has found a new lease of life at the Stones as a wing back/centre back/midfielder/right back, and has four goals this season. Woking fans might remember his goal for Notts at the Laithwaite back in 2019 when Neal Ardley managed the Magpies.
