Bournemouth prepared to pay £30m for 20-goal Man Utd target, personal terms agreed - report
Premier League club Bournemouth are prepared to pay £30 million to sign Manchester United target Rayan from Vasco da Gama, according to Globo Esporte.
The 19-year-old is one of the best young forwards in the Brazilian top flight. He had a superb 2025 season with Vasco, scoring 20 goals and providing one assist across 57 appearances.
The teenager primarily played from the right wing for Vasco, but also made several appearances upfront. His progress has caught the eye of several top European clubs.
Manchester United have already been credited with an interest in signing him. It was recently reported that a deal could be complex this winter due to a £70m release clause in his new contract.
The Red Devils are not planning any winter signings after Ruben Amorim’s managerial exit, and this could be a potential blow with Bournemouth now pushing to land Rayan’s signature.
Vasco have yet to give the green light for Rayan’s move to Andoni Iraola’s side.
Man Utd could miss out on Rayan after Cherries’ interest
United recently appointed Michael Carrick as the interim manager for the rest of the season.
It was initially suggested that Carrick could be handed a small transfer budget, and Al-Hilal midfielder Ruben Neves could be targeted due to an affordable price tag.
However, that does not appear to be the case. United don’t want to make any signings without a permanent head coach and seem prepared to wait until the summer.
This could prove to be a potential blow as they could miss out on Rayan’s services.
Aside from his goal contributions, Rayan won five duels per league game last season. The left-footed ace lost possession 8.3 times per outing, which is quite impressive for a winger.
At £30m, the Brazilian would represent a good signing for the Cherries, who are desperately looking to fill the void left by Antoine Semenyo’s switch to Manchester City this month.
United, on their side, will be hoping that Vasco stand firm on keeping the player until the summer to secure a slightly higher fee. In that way, the Red Devils could make an offer.
