Adam Schefter Delivers Fiery Take On Eagles’ A.J. Brown Potentially Landing With Patriots
The Patriots are poised to be in a strong position to acquire a top-tier talent this offseason, following a successful season with young quarterback Drake Maye. New England could bring in another top receiver to support him further.
One player who might be on the Patriots’ radar is A.J. Brown, the wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles. Brown is coming off a rollercoaster season, and ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter believes that New England could be a genuine landing spot for him.
“I can see Brown playing in New England next year under head coach Mike Vrabel,” Schefter said Wednesday on 97.5 The Fanatic’s “Unfiltered with Ricky Bo & Bill Colarulo” show. “That would make a lot of sense to me.”
Brown spent three seasons playing for Vrabel with the Titans before Tennessee traded him to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft.
The 28-year-old wide receiver has had his share of highs and lows during his first four seasons in Philadelphia. Brown played a crucial role in helping the Eagles reach two Super Bowls, including last season’s victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. However, this season, he recorded only 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns.
If the Eagles decide to make Brown available for trade, the Patriots should be among the first teams to reach out and explore the possibility of bringing him to New England.
