Sambalpur, Cuttack dists report most CKD cases in state
Sambalpur and Cuttack districts account for nearly 7,000 of Odisha's 19,888 chronic kidney disease (CKD) cases in three years. While a study in Cuttack identified heavy metals and fluoride in drinking water as a cause, no government study has been conducted in Sambalpur to investigate the rising CKD incidence there.
