Bay Area music festival announces 2026 lineup topped by 2 legendary acts
Mosswood Meltdown has announced its lineup for the 2026 festival.
Iggy Pop and Bikini Kill are the two marquee headliners for the two-day event, which runs July 18-19 at Mosswood Park in Oakland.
That’s definitely a formidable pairing, with the “Godfather of Punk” topping the Mosswood Meltdown bill on Day 1 and the Olympia, Washington riott grrl legends closing up the festival on Day 2.
The other Day 1 acts include Japanese quartet Otoboke Beaver, Santa Cruz hardcore act Scowl, Michigan skate-punk band The Spits, Detroit garage rockers The Dirtbombs, Tokyo garage-punkers The Fadeaways and Los Angeles power trio Primitive Ring.
Joining Bikini Kill on Day 2 are The Return of Jackie & Judy (aka, Fred Armisen joining Sleater-Kinney’s Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein in a set of Ramones tunes), Philly punkers The Dead Milkmen, Indiana indie-rockers Frankie & The Witch Fingers, Bay Area punk act Frightwig and Miami rockers Las Nubes.
And, as per usual, famed director John Waters will return to host the festival.
Weekend passes are $179 general admission and $299 VIP. Day 1 tickets are $129 general admission and $199 VIP. Day 2 tickets are $89 general admission and $159 VIP.
There is also a Mosswood Meltdown pre-party concert at the same location, headlined by Stockton indie-rock legends Pavement, which requires a separate ticket for admittance. Those tickets are $99 general admission and $165 VIP.
Tickets for all of the above are on sale now, mosswoodmeltdown.com.
