UPDATE: Pam Bondi Reveals Classified Leaker Behind Trump’s Venezuela Operation Was Pentagon IT Contractor

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has unmasked the traitor behind the illegal leak of classified information about President Trump’s bold Venezuela operation.

Pam Bondi revealed Wednesday night that the individual responsible for leaking classified information about President Trump’s Venezuela operation was an IT contractor for the Department of War and he is now sitting in jail.

The disclosure came during an explosive interview with Sean Hannity, where Bondi confirmed that the Trump DOJ and FBI are aggressively pursuing those who leak classified military intelligence and the media figures who obtain and publish it.

As previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, the FBI executed a search warrant at the Alexandria, Virginia, home of a Washington Post reporter who obtained and reported on classified and illegally leaked Pentagon material.

The reporter, Hannah Natanson, is not the subject of the investigation, but federal agents seized:

• Her cell phone
• Two laptops (one personal, one work-issued)
• A Garmin watch

According to the Washington Post, Natanson was inside her home at the time the warrant was executed.

The search was conducted at the request of the Department of War, according to Bondi.

The leaker was identified as Aurelio Perez-Lugones, a Maryland-based system administrator with top-secret security clearance.

Federal agents reportedly discovered classified intelligence reports hidden inside his lunchbox and basement.

Perez-Lugones has been arrested and is currently jailed.

Bondi made it clear: this was not whistleblowing, this was criminal sabotage of national security.

She emphasized that the leaked material involved foreign adversaries and could have jeopardized the lives of U.S. warfighters.

During the interview, Bondi confirmed she rescinded Merrick Garland’s memo that effectively shielded reporters from subpoenas and device seizures.

Sean Hannity:
When we’re talking about leaking a military operation, if somebody that has top security clearance, in fact, does that, they are putting troops directly in harm’s way.

What can you tell us about this case, others that may be involved? When does the press maybe cross a legal line? Because the press is obviously involved in this also.

Pam Bondi:
Sean, in April I did a memo rescinding Merrick Garland’s memo saying that reporters will not be subpoenaed—we will not look at reporters’ phones. I rescinded that because we have to protect our classified information and the heroic men and women in the military.

Sean, the First Amendment is a bedrock principle, but this isn’t about that. This is about classified material that could jeopardize lives.

This guy—this IT guy that worked for the Department of War—and Pete Hegseth has been amazing, and he’s up against a lot with these people.

This guy was a contractor, an IT contractor, who had classified information and is now charged with leaking classified information involving a foreign adversary. He could jeopardize the lives and safety of our men and women in the military.

So today it’s been reported that the great men and women of the FBI executed a search warrant, at the direction of Kash Patel and my office, on the reporter’s home, seizing the devices that contained classified material regarding our foreign adversaries. And that’s what we’re looking into now.

But the guy—the guy from the IT department—is in jail. President Trump has made it very clear: you will not jeopardize the men and women in our military, and you will not leak classified information.

Sean Hannity:
I guess there could be a couple of scenarios. One, if the press was soliciting classified material purposefully—and maybe that could be proven, maybe that can’t be proven. Or what if something is sent that’s classified and the reporter had no idea it was classified?

Pam Bondi:
If the reporter had no idea it was classified, we have the right to have that returned to the Department of Justice. I cannot enter the Department of War—that is where it belongs. I cannot talk about the facts of this case because right now it’s just a search warrant to retrieve the information that belongs to the Department of War. But the guy who works for the Department of War—he is in jail, and he should remain in jail.
