'The left wants him to do it': Michael Flynn warns Trump about to fall into a liberal trap
Pardoned former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn argued that President Donald Trump's invocation of the Insurrection Act would likely not be enough to end the violence sparked after Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers were involved in multiple shootings in Minneapolis.
Flynn spoke to Real America's Voice on Thursday, just hours after Trump threatened to deploy troops under the Insurrection Act.
"The mainstream media is going to, they're going to make this sound like Trump is, you know, becoming a dictator that he, that they've always defined him as," Flynn warned. "So if he has to use the Insurrection Act, it's not the first time. It won't be the last time."
"I don't think it's going to be enough, to be honest with you," he continued. "I think that actually the left wants them to do it."
"So I actually think that they want Trump to do that, so then they can use it as a bludgeon against him. And so the president has to be really, he's got to be really steady in, in imposing this if he decides to do that."
Flynn previously advocated for imposing martial law after Trump lost the 2020 presidential election.
