San Rafael pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a truck while crossing a street in San Rafael.
The incident happened at about 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at Point San Pedro Road and Summit Avenue. The pedestrian was walking south on Point San Pedro Road, and the truck, a Toyota Tundra, was headed east, California Highway Patrol Officer Arthur Tellez said.
The CHP is investigating the incident and does not suspect the driver of intoxication.
The Marin County coroner’s office did not release the pedestrian’s name on Wednesday.
