Viking Invasion 2025: 1,000+ Jumps, Fire, Fury, and One Hell of a New Year
If you were at Skydive Sebastian between December 27th and January 1st, you already know — Viking Invasion 2025 absolutely delivered.
Over the course of the boogie, we logged 500+ jumps on Sunday alone, filled the skies with organized chaos, and rang in the New Year the only way Sebastian knows how: with friends, fire, aircraft, and a whole lot of skydiving.
This year’s Viking theme set the tone from day one. Between live music, fire dancers, nightly events, and a full drop zone buzzing from sunrise to last call, the energy never dipped. It was nonstop community, nonstop flying, and exactly why this remains our favorite event of the year.
Aerial Mayhem (the Good Kind)
One of the standout moments of the week was the Air Sports Parachute Team absolutely stealing the show. Their pyrotechnic display and downplane lit up the sky — literally — and reminded everyone why coordinated team flying is still one of the most jaw-dropping things in our sport.
Huge shoutout to Bob Edmiston and Tyler Hudson for bringing the heat and making it unforgettable.
Capturing the Chaos
Events like this don’t live forever unless someone captures them right — and we were lucky to have the best.
Jamie from Lasting Memories Photography was everywhere, somehow managing to freeze moments that felt impossible to catch. If you were there, odds are Jamie caught you mid-send.
We also want to highlight the event edit from Gravity Powered Media, which perfectly captures the speed, grit, and vibe of Viking Invasion. If you haven’t watched it yet — fix that immediately.
Thank You
To every jumper, organizer, vendor, performer, staff member, and friend who showed up — thank you. This event doesn’t happen without the people who commit to making it special, and year after year, this community shows up in force.
We hope you had as much fun as we did…
…and yes — we’re already looking ahead to Invasion 2026.
What’s Next?
Mixed MFS Scrambles – February 21st
Before we get there, we’ve got another banger on deck.
On February 21st, Skydive Sebastian will be hosting Mixed Formation Skydiving (MFS) Scrambles with SDC MatriX. This is a fun, friendly, laugh-heavy competition designed to introduce jumpers to MFS without the intimidation factor.
No MFS experience required. No head-down experience required for Intermediate. Just show up ready to fly, learn, and laugh at yourself.
All the details and registration info are posted below — don’t sleep on this one.
Register here: https://forms.gle/88G1DrrkeJWeoEJs5
Once you’ve filled out the form, please secure your slot by sending the $20 fee to their Venmo : @SDC_MatriX
Please only sign up if you KNOW you will be attending. Having a no-show or a last-minute cancellation really messes with the logistics of this event.
Featured Review
This month’s featured review comes from Marissa Gutierrez—thanks for flying with us!
“I had an amazing experience! The check in process was quick and easy. They answered questions about the different packages! Everyone in there was high energy which made it feel less nerve wracking. Liam was my instructor and was very knowledgeable, confident & had good energy! He walked me through what we were supposed to do and also answered any other questions I had! Would highly recommend!”
See You Next Invasion!
Skies were loud. Fire was hot. The New Year was ringing in right.
See you on the next load — and start planning now for Invasion 2026.
