The other strategic priorities are serving its clients as One BNY, transitioning to a platforms operating model and embracing artificial intelligence (AI), according to a quarterly update released Tuesday (Jan. 13) in conjunction with its fourth-quarter earnings call.
During 2025, BNY delivered year-over-year gains of 22% in net income, which rose to a record $5.3 billion, and 8% in revenue, which rose to a record $20.1 billion, according to a Tuesday earnings release.
“This strong financial performance was the output of our work to reimagine BNY and was enabled by tangible progress across strategic priorities over the past year,” BNY CEO Robin Vince said during Tuesday’s earnings call.
Outlining these initiatives, Vince said the One BNY commercial model brings the full breadth of the company together to deliver more products and services to clients, the platforms operating model makes the company more agile and intentional, and the embrace of AI unlocks capacity and enables employees to focus on higher value work with clients.
“Our focus on innovating new products and solutions is centered on building trusted market infrastructure for the long term and serving our clients in new and evolving ways, including increasing delivery of new capabilities connecting the traditional and digital asset worlds,” Vince said.
Vince highlighted one of the products launched by BNY during the fourth quarter: the Dreyfus Stablecoin Reserves Fund. When announcing it in November, BNY said this is a money market fund that is designed to hold the reserves for stablecoins to be issued under the GENIUS Act but does not invest in stablecoins.
This fund provides “BNY’s cash and liquidity solutions expertise to the growing digital payments ecosystem,” Vince said during Tuesday’s call.
Vince also noted BNY’s Jan. 9 announcement that it took the first step in its strategy to offer tokenized deposits by enabling the on-chain mirrored representation of client deposit balances on its Digital Assets platform.
“As we reflect on the scope of our market-leading businesses, our central position as a provider of financial market infrastructure and the depth and breadth of our client relationships, traditional and digitally native, we believe that we are particularly well positioned to advance the future of financial markets,” Vince said during the call.
