Bus stop outside Manor Park Children’s Play Area in Swanscombe targeted by vandals for second time
Vandals have targeted a bus stop for the second time in the space of four days.
Swanscombe Neighbourhood Watch had first been made aware of graffiti at a bus stop in Swanscombe Street, outside Manor Park Children’s Play Area, on Friday (January 9).
The incident was reported to the police, and, with assistance from Swanscombe and Greenhithe Town Council, it was removed.
However, the neighbourhood watch team was informed yesterday (January 12) that it had returned.
Vandals spray painted several of the bus shelter windows, as well as two stone structures nearby in Park Road.
The neighbourhood watch team said: “[The local council] has since again removed the graffiti and we are appealing for any information with regards to anyone seeing anything suspicious between and or on Friday and Monday.
“It looks like there is currently a spate of anti-social behaviour and graffiti incidents in Swanscombe.
“The police are aware of this and currently looking to identify those responsible and inquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.”
If anyone has any information, please call Kent Police on 101, quoting reference number DP1442-26-4646-04.
