‘She might transition a one-year-old boy’: Elon Musk files for full custody of his son after Ashley St. Clair’s pro-trans comments
Billionaire Elon Musk announced he would file for full custody of his one-year-old son on Monday in the wake of pro-transgender comments from the baby’s mother, Ashley St. Clair.
“I will be filing for full custody today, given her statements implying she might transition a one-year-old boy,” Musk said on X, responding to a follower’s comment.
St. Clair has been known previously as a conservative influencer, but it’s not clear if she ever said that she would allow her son to transition to female.
On X, St. Clair responded to someone’s question who asked: “You’ve previously engaged in blatant transphobia, how do you feel about trans people in the wake of noticing how the far right truly is?”
“I feel immense guilt for my role,” St. Clair said. “And even more guilt that things I have said in the past may have caused my son’s sister more pain. [I don’t really know] how to make amends for many of these things but I have been trying incredibly hard privately to learn + advocate for those within the trans community that I’ve hurt.”

Another child of Musk, Vivian, went public as transgender in 2022.
“I also haven’t said much on this [because] I have gone back and forth over whether my voice would be helpful on the issue since it will be framed as disingenuous or just turning [because] I’m ‘scorned,’ St. Clair added.
“Even this reply will become right wing hysteria but yeah I am sorry.”
Author and political commentator Matt Walsh, known for his “What Is a Woman?” and “Am I Racist?” asked St Clair in response to her pro-trans comments: “Ashley, what exact arguments did the trans activists make to convince you that actually men can have babies and sometimes it is okay to castrate children? Please explain how they persuaded you to adopt these incredible positions.”
Walsh added that joining “the pro-trans side in 2026 is like boarding the Titanic an hour after it hit the iceberg. Even most Democrats are trying desperately to flee this sinking ship. Jumping on board, especially at THIS stage of the game, is baffling.”
Commentator Ian Miles Cheong noted: “Having known Ashley St. Clair personally for nearly a decade, I believe the truth behind her recent behavior is more cynical than simple activism: she is a narcissist acting out her worst impulses. She has adopted a specific political ideology as a weapon to hurt Elon Musk, a man she has no control over, while receiving praise from his enemies.
“Because of this, Elon Musk should immediately file for custody. Ashley has clearly indicated a willingness to subject their son to gender reassignment therapy primarily to spite his father. Whether she intends to follow through or is simply using the threat as a means of psychological torment, the betrayal of trust is the same.
“She is using the boy as a pawn in a personal vendetta, and her narcissism is being fueled by a crowd of ‘haters’ who would happily see a child’s life ruined if it meant seeing Elon suffer. She is chasing clout at the expense of her son’s future. This innocent boy deserves the protection of a father who has the means and the heart to save him.”
The New York Post reports: “The SpaceX founder has a slew of offspring with multiple women. He has five children with his first wife, Justine Wilson – twins Vivian and Griffin and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian. Their son, Nevada, died in 2002 at just 10 weeks old.
“Musk has another three with pop star Grimes, including X, who was spotted repeatedly with his father at the White House, Exa Dark Siderael, and Techno Mechanicus.
“Musk and Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis also share twins Strider and Azure, daughter Arcadia and son Seldon Lycurgus.”
