Woman Kills Her Baby in Abortion Because She’s Scared of “Climate Change”

A woman killed her baby in an abortion due to intense fears over so-called “climate change” according to an advice column published in The Guardian.

The article highlights how scare tactics and fearmongering over the climate hoax has real consequences in a way pro-life advocates decry as tragic and misguided.

The anonymous 37-year-old woman, supposedly happily married with two children, wrote to columnist Annalisa Barbieri describing her experience.

“We live a very “green” life,” she explained, noting that her concerns for the climate intensified after becoming a mother. Despite wanting a third child and receiving support from her husband—who “has always been content with two but happy to have a third if I wanted”—she became pregnant but soon faced overwhelming distress.

“Within a week I was wrought with an intense fear for the future and the impact of the climate crisis,” she wrote. After consulting friends and her husband, she “had a termination” and took the life of her own child.

She initially felt relief but later experienced “devastation at what I had done.” With the help of antidepressants and counseling, she felt more on an even keel but still experienced “sadness and regret” even after a year from the time her baby’s life was ended.

The couple tried again, and she became pregnant once more, but “as if a switch had been turned, I felt intense anxiety and couldn’t see a positive future.” That pregnancy “ultimately” ended in miscarriage in part because of the emotional and physical upheaval from the abortion.

She now seeks to “make sense of what has happened and reach acceptance of what I did,” while striving to find contentment with her “lovely family of four.”

Barbieri, consulting psychotherapist Dr. Jo Stubley, merely affirmed the obsession over so-called climate change that led to killing a little baby before birth.

“On some level we should all have climate anxiety,” Stubley said. “Yet we all walk around with disavowal, dissociation and denial to not see how terrifying it is.”

This is a heartbreaking example of how radical environmental ideologies can lead to the loss of unborn life.

A 2023 LifeNews commentary rejected claims that having children harms the planet, arguing instead that children are a divine blessing.

It cited biblical passages such as Genesis 1:28—”Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it”—and Psalm 127:3-5, which describes children as “a heritage from the Lord” and “a reward.”
