LEGO announced a number of sets for collectors this week, each with varying piece numbers and display options.
LEGO Pokemon Sets Officially Unveiled
The first set focuses on the series' mascot Pikachu, leaping out of a Poke Ball in an action scene. The set contains 2,050 pieces and portrays the Pokemon preparing for battle with a bolt of lightning behind it for accent and emphasis.
"Key easter eggs include a '25' displayed on the base, signifying Pikachu’s Pokédex number," LEGO said while unveiling the set.

"Celebrating the iconic Electric-type Pokémon, fans will be able to pose the build in a dynamic battle stance launching from the opened Poké Ball, as well as in a seated pose, with a closed Poké Ball."
The next set features three of the most iconic and enduring designs from Pokemon's first generation: Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise. The three evolutions of the original starter Pokemon in the Kanto region are represented in all their glory, making one of the largest sets in LEGO history.
The complete set of three figures comes in at a whopping 6,838 pieces. The Pokemon come with "design details inspired by each of the featured Pokémon’s biomes," such as a platform of ice for Blastoise and a bed of flowers and flora for Venusaur.
Prices and Potential Extras for Pokemon Fans
The third set is smaller than the others and features fan-favorite Pokemon Eevee in its base form. The Pokemon's iconic expression is faithfully recreated, allowing fans to relive some of their favorite moments and scenes from both the video games and the Pokemon anime.
The Eevee set will retail for $59.99, while the Pikachu and Poke Ball set will come in at an MSRP of $199.99 in the United States. The massive set of three evolved Pokemon - Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise - will come in at $649.99.
Fans who pre-order the Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise set from the PokémonCenter.com website in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom will also receive a special Gift With Purchase set featuring the gym badges from the game's Kanto region.
