Donald Trump Reveals 'the Only Thing That Can Stop' Him as a World Leader (It's Not International Laws)
President Donald Trump opened up about what he views as the one limit on his powers as a world leader.
The 79-year-old Republican has taken a hard stance on national and international issues since returning to office in January 2025.

Speaking to The New York Times, the president said “there is one thing” that limits his powers.
“Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me,” he said, adding that he didn’t “need international law” since he was “not looking to hurt people.”
While the president admitted that he and his team “do” need to follow the laws, Trump raised a question, adding, “It depends what your definition of international law is.
White House deputy press secretary Anna Kelly doubled down on Trump‘s remarks in a statement shared with Just Jared, saying, “President Trump is right. Countless lives have been saved by his actions to end eight wars, arrest narcoterrorist Nicolas Maduro, secure our border from illegal drugs and criminals, and more.”
While Trump was recently overlooked for the Nobel Peace Prize, he was the recipient of another prize in December.
