The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) distributed hundreds of food packages in Sheberghan, Afghanistan, benefiting 570 families, including returnees, displaced persons, and those in need. In total, 3,420 individuals received assistance.
The center said the initiative is part of its 2026 Food Security and Emergency Aid Project in Afghanistan, aiming to alleviate hunger and provide urgent support to vulnerable communities.
KSRelief emphasized that the food distribution is part of Saudi Arabia’s broader humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan, designed to reduce suffering and support the country’s most vulnerable populations.
The aid reached families across Sheberghan, providing essential staples and emergency relief supplies amid ongoing economic challenges and instability in northern Afghanistan.
KSRelief has a long history of humanitarian work in Afghanistan, including assistance to citizens in regions affected by natural disasters such as the 2022 earthquake in Kunar province.
