Macaulay Culkin & Mila Kunis’s Golden Globes Appearances Resurfaced Their Ultra-Private Romance
The Golden Globes presenters have felt like a smorgasbord of A-listers, from Mila Kunis to Jennifer Lopez. While it’s a who’s-who up there, two presenters have everyone remembering their eight-year romance back in the day. Yes, we’re talking about Kunis and Macaulay Culkin!
Today, Kunis is married to Ashton Kutcher, and Culkin is engaged to Brenda Song, but before them, they were an item (and an unexpected one at that)!
A lot of people either forgot or never knew that the two dated for nine years. The pair started dating in 2002 and kept their relationship incredibly private.
But in an interview with Women’s Health back in 2009, she said, “We grew up together. You find a steady rock in your life, and that’s all you need. We have our ups and downs, but work through them.”
However, it was reported that they had a “horrible” breakup in 2011, so bad that they cut ties altogether.
In a 2018 interview with the Armchair Expert, Kunis said, “I **cked up. I was an a**hole in my 20s and I’ll be the first to admit it. And that’s something that took me a long time to come out and be like, ‘Yeah, you know what, I was a d*ck,’ and accept it and I own it now.”
She added, “It’s f**ked up what I did and it’s f**ked up how I did it. When I got to be a single I said, ‘I just need to figure myself out.’ I genuinely need to know why I did what I did, and, like, regroup myself as a human being.”
