Key info: Lordswood U23s
If you missed your football fix on Saturday, make sure to head down to the Gallagher Stadium on Tuesday evening as our table-topping under-23s welcome Lordswood.
Last Tuesday’s 1-0 win over second-placed Margate saw the Stones move three points clear at the top of the SCEFL Development Eastern Division – and with four games in hand. Third-placed Hythe Town have played the same number of games as Maidstone but sit 14 points adrift.
Tuesday’s visitors, Lordswood, are currently 10th in the division with six points from 11 games, having recorded two wins and nine defeats. Their last league outing was a month ago – a 2-1 loss to Margate.
Nathan Baker’s side remain perfect this season, winning 11 out of 11 to take a commanding lead at the halfway stage. Adding to the positives, four members of the under-23 squad trained with the first team over the Christmas and New Year period.
Get down to the Gallagher on Tuesday night and see if the Stones can make it a dozen without defeat.
