Camila Morrone Gives Ultra-Rare Details on Having Al Pacino as a Parental Figure: ‘I Was in the Presence of Someone Like Him’
Fun fact: Growing up, legendary actor Al Pacino was like another parental figure to actress Camila Morrone. Pacino dated Morrone’s mom, Lucila Solá, for a long time, and even remain best friends today.
For those that don’t know, Pacino and Sola were together from 2008 to 2018, and even after they split up, Pacino reportedly acts as a loving “stepfather” figure to Morrone. (In fact, it’s reported that he’s the one who introduced the Daisy Jones & The Six star to his buddy, and her ex, Leonardo DiCaprio.)
But what was it like to have Pacino as a parental figure growing up?
In a recent and rare interview with The Sunday Times, Morrone did note that Pacino “is technically not my stepfather, but he was my mom’s partner for a very long time.”
But she also added how close they are, and how grateful she was to have him in her life growing up! “How lucky am I to have known him and to have been raised in his presence. I mean, he’s the Messi of my industry. I think I’ll always look back on my childhood and be in awe that I was in the presence of someone like him,” she said.
Both Morrone and Pacino are rather private about their bond and their personal lives, but everything Morrone has spilled shows that he’s been an amazing mentor (which we always love to hear)!
In fact, in an interview via Yahoo, Morrone even discussed the acting advice he’d give her: “You’re fine, just act. Just be yourself. If you cry, you cry. If you don’t, you don’t. Just act, react, and you’ll be fine.”
