Report: Juventus striker Vlahovic also of interest to Inter as well as Milan
Reports in Italy claim that Milan are not the only Serie A side interested in picking up a deal for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, as league leaders Inter have also expressed an interest in pinching the Serbia international from the Old Lady.
Could Inter rival Milan for Juventus’s Vlahovic?
Vlahovic is into the final six months of his Juventus contract, and as things stand, has not reached an agreement over a renewal in Turin.
The former Fiorentina striker is currently the highest earner in Serie A, and so was not particularly keen on the idea of leaving Juventus over the summer, despite reports that the Bianconeri were keen to offload him while he still had some time remaining on his contract.
There had been reports over the summer that Milan were keen to bring Vlahovic to San Siro, which would have also brought a reunion with former Juve head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
A move to Milan did not materialise over the summer, but recent reports claim that the Rossoneri are still keen on a deal for Vlahovic on a potential free transfer. As per Calciomercato.com, there have even been rumours that Milan have an agreement in principle over a long-term contract worth around €8m per season in wages with Vlahovic.
However, according to reports from La Stampa (via Calciomercato), Milan’s city rivals Inter have also expressed an interest in signing Vlahovic on a free transfer this summer. Sunday’s report claims that Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio are preparing to make their first contact with Vlahovic’s agent.
There has also been interest from abroad, as well, with suggestions that Barcelona could be keen on the Serbian as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, and that Bayern Munich could also be poised to offer the 25-year-old a deal.
