The inspiring message from God embedded in America’s push to ‘Eat Real Food’
“Eat Real Food.”
That was the delicious message pushed by the U.S. government this week as it made a major change in its nutritional guidelines, flipping the food pyramid and urging Americans to limit ultra-processed food and refined carbohydrates, while prioritizing protein-rich meals including meat.
“My message is clear: Eat real food,” said Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “Nothing matters more for health care outcomes, economic productivity, military readiness and fiscal stability.”

He called it “the most significant reset of federal nutrition policy in history,” and even the American Medical Association agrees that the new guidelines “affirm that food is medicine and offer clear direction patients and physicians can use to improve health.”
But is there more to this food fix than meets the eye, or mouth?
The answer is a definite yes, according to a bestselling Christian author who says there’s an inspiring message for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear.
“When people hear the phrase ‘Eat real food,’ their first thoughts may focus on physical food that we all toss into our mouth,” says Joe Kovacs, author of “Reaching God Speed: Unlocking the Secret Broadcast Revealing the Mystery of Everything.”
“But when we make the jump to the Spirit or parable level, which is the way Jesus exclusively taught according to Matthew 13:34, then a magnificent message can be tasted with delight.”
Kovacs says the easiest way to understand what’s being said on the Spirit level is to let the Bible speak for itself, as its spiritual metaphors are quite obvious.
“For instance, when Jesus says ‘Feed my sheep’ in John 21:17, He is not telling the apostle Peter to give physical food to some physical beasts,” says Kovacs.
“Everyone understands that Jesus is speaking metaphorically, telling Peter to FEED – as in provide spiritual knowledge and understanding – to SHEEP, which are believing PEOPLE.”
“So, when people hear ‘Eat real food,’ it’s precisely the same concept. It means to take in and understand the real food. And what, or more precisely WHO, is ‘real food?’ The answer of course is Jesus Christ! He actually calls Himself ‘real food,’ ‘true food’ and ‘real drink’ in John 6:55.”
“He also famously called Himself ‘the true bread from heaven’ (John 6:32 NKJV), adding that ‘he who believes in Me has everlasting life. I am the bread of life.’ (John 6:47-48 NKJV)
“Even in the well-known Lord’s Prayer, we see the phrase, ‘Give us this day our daily bread.’ (Matthew 6:11 KJV) “The daily bread is not just talking about physical baked bread. It’s really talking about our daily supply of Jesus Himself living within us, sustaining and blessing us all day long. Jesus is TRUE NOURISHMENT, the REAL FOOD! God actually states in Scripture: ‘Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.’ (Psalm 81:10 NKJV). He is not speaking of physical food, but the spiritual food which is Himself!”
Kovacs says the Bible itself shows Jesus scolding His own apostles in one instance when He was not referring to physical bread, but actually the false food, or false teaching of the religious leaders some 2,000 years ago.
“Why is it you don’t understand that when I told you, ‘Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees,’ it wasn’t about bread?” Then they understood that he had not told them to beware of the leaven in bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. (Matthew 16:11-12 KJV)
“Remember, you are what you eat,” says Kovacs, “and this goes far beyond physical food. When you take in and believe the junk food of junk teaching, you become junk and it leads to sickness and death. But when you eat the real food, Jesus, you become the same thing that Jesus is, an eternal member of God’s family.”
Additionally, Scripture indicates when Jesus fed 5,000 men plus women and children, He told His disciples: “You give them something to eat.” (Matthew 14:16 NKJV)
Kovacs explains: “When people stop focusing on the physical flesh and open up their eyes and ears to see and hear what’s being broadcast on the Spirit level of God speed, Jesus is actually telling His followers – even believers today – that they must give other people a taste of Him, since He is the real food!”
“So now every time you hear the phrase, ‘Eat Real Food,’ you’ll get the ultimate health benefit when you take into your mind and body the REAL FOOD, JESUS, with the end result being a pain-free everlasting life.”
“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4 NKJV)
