Bears wearing all-navy uniforms vs. Packers for first time in 3 years
On Saturday night, the Bears won't look like any other Bears team this season. The team will wear a navy jersey over navy pants against the Packers for the first time the last game of the 2022 season.
The Bears had gone all season without wearing any sort of alternate uniform combination. Chairman George McCaskey said at the start of the year that the team was eschewing its orange jerseys and striped white alternates for one year to honor late matriarch Virginia McCaskey, who always preferred they wear their standard uniform combinations.
The Bears went 11-6 wearing their regular sets — navy jersey over white pants at home and white jerseys over navy pants on the road.

They've worn a football-shaped patch with Virginia McCaskey's initials all year. It looked similar to the patch the Bears wore when her father, George Halas, died in 1983.
“We thought it’d be appropriate to have a patch that mirrored her dad’s after he passed away,” McCaskey told the Sun-Times during training camp.
They last wore a navy jersey over navy pants in a 29-13 loss to the Vikings at Soldier Field on Jan. 8, 2023.
