Newest Red Sox Hall Of Fame Class Includes Three World Series Champions
The Boston Red Sox announced the organization’s newest Hall of Fame inductees on Saturday morning during the opening festivities of the annual Fenway Fest.
The group includes former All-Star outfielder and World Series champion Johnny Damon, All-Star starting pitcher and World Series champion Jon Lester and World Series champion reliever Mike Timlin.
The late, longtime Fenway Park public address announcer Sherm Feller was elected as the non-uniformed inductee as well.
Former Boston star third baseman Bill Mueller’s walk-off home run against New York Yankees closer Mariano Rivera on July 24, 2004, was also selected as the “Memorable Red Sox Moment” that will be recognized during the 2026 induction ceremony as well.

Damon, Lester and Timlin combined for nine World Series titles and seven All-Star honors during their careers.
The trio earned five of their championship rings during their time with the Red Sox.
Damon and Timlin were crucial members of Boston’s historic 2004 World Series team, acting as the offensive catalyst atop the lineup and a setup man in the team’s bullpen, respectively.
The 59-year-old Timlin earned his second title in Beantown as a part of the 2007 squad.
Lester was the longest-tenured member of the Red Sox among the trio of legends.
Boston selected the southpaw in the second round of the 2002 MLB June Amateur Draft and he made his big-league debut in June 2006.
Lester was diagnosed with lymphoma just two months later but made a triumphant return to the mound in July 2007.
He won the clinching game of the 2007 World Series and was the ace of the 2013 title-winning “Boston Strong” team.
Lester was sent to the Athletics at the 2014 MLB Trade Deadline after eight-plus seasons with the Red Sox.
He had arguably the best season of his career with the Chicago Cubs in 2016, finishing as the NL Cy Young runner-up and helping the North Siders win their first World Series in 108 years.
Lester will make his debut on the Baseball Hall of Fame’s BBWAA ballot in 2027.
