Serie A: Roma vs. Sassuolo – probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Paulo Dybala and Evan Ferguson are expected to start in Roma’s home game against Andrea Pinamonti’s Sassuolo.
It kicks off at 18:00 CET (17:00 GMT) at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Both sides must cope without several players as Roma can’t rely on Wesley due to illness, while Artem Dovbyk and Lorenzo Pellegrini are injured, Bryan Cristante is suspended, and Evan Ndicka is away on international duty.
Tommaso Baldanzi, Pierluigi Gollini, Leon Bailey and Neil El Aynaoui are also out of action.
Sassuolo’s list of absentees is also quite long, with nine unavailable players, including Domenico Berardi, Kristian Thorstvedt and Cristian Volpato.
Matias Soulé is expected to start up front for Roma despite not being fully fit. The Argentine will join his compatriot Dybala and Republic of Ireland international Ferguson, scorer of two goals in his last three Serie A appearances, up front.
Gianluca Mancini and Mario Hermoso return to action after a one-game ban, while Nicolò Pisilli replaces Cristante, as per Sky Sport and other Italian media.
Aster Vranckx, a former Milan midfielder, is favourite over Luca Lipani and Edoardo Iannoni in the middle of the park for Sassuolo.
Alieu Fadera, Pinamonti and Armand Laurienté are expected to form the Neroverdi’s three-man attack.
