Narberth v Pontypridd – Match Preview
On Saturday 10th January Pontypridd RFC head west to play Narberth RFC in the Admiral Premiership. The match kicks off at 2:30pm at the Lewis Lloyd Ground.
Ponty’s first home game of the season was against The Otters, on Saturday 13th September, and it was the Valley Commandos who triumphed by 35 points to 12 thanks to a brace of tries from Joe Davies to go with scores from Joe Miles, Dale Stuckey and Connah Hughes.
Last season Pontypridd achieved a season’s ‘league double’ over Narberth, but only just. After securing a comfortable win against this week’s opposition early in the campaign at Sardis, the team headed to the Lewis Lloyd Ground on Saturday 1st February 2025. It was a contest that could have gone either way, but it was Ponty who won a low-scoring nail-biter by 16 points to 13.
Since the restructuring of the Welsh Premiership 18 months ago and Narberth’s subsequent promotion into it, the Pembrokeshire outfit have made their Lewis Lloyd Ground one of the toughest to visit – a statement echoed by Ponty Head Coach Kristian Parker during his interview on this week’s GTFM Ponty Rugby Show.
The Team News…
Unfortunately, due to a number of players carrying knocks that require late fitness tests, Pontypridd’s team selection is delayed until just prior to tomorrow’s match.

GROUND ADDRESS –
