Board of Directors Nominations are Now Open
Nominations Open: Diverse Skills, Fresh Ideas, Stronger Futures for Horses
Nominations are now open for our Board of Directors, and we are seeking individuals with a wide range of skills, experiences, and professional backgrounds who are eager to contribute to the future of Alberta’s equine community.
A strong board is built on more than shared interest; it thrives on diverse expertise. Our organization benefits greatly from directors with skills in areas such as governance, finance, law, education, communications, strategic planning, community engagement, and leadership. While a connection to horses is important, horse ownership or an equestrian background is not required. What matters most is your commitment to the wellbeing of the horse industry and your willingness to lend your skills where they can make a lasting difference.
The horse industry, rooted in tradition, also depends on fresh thinking to grow and remain resilient. New perspectives bring innovative ideas, thoughtful decision-making, and renewed energy to the boardroom. By welcoming individuals from a variety of professional sectors, we strengthen our ability to support horses, horse owners, and equestrian communities across Alberta.
Serving on the board is an opportunity to give back in a meaningful way—helping guide policy, support education, and ensure the organization continues to serve as a trusted leader for the equine industry. The dedication of skilled, engaged directors today will help shape a healthier, more inclusive, and sustainable future for horses tomorrow.
Nominations are now open.
The deadline to submit a completed nomination form is February 13, 2026.
