It’s okay to get excited for Pizza Expo right now
The holidays are over. For many, January is a time to slow down. Not at Pizza Today and Pizza Expo, we are in a mad dash sprint to International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, March 23-26. As we enter our final stages of prep for the show, I wanted to take a minute and share what I’m excited about right now, leading up to Pizza Expo.
5 Things we’re excited for at this year’s Pizza Expo (in no particular order)
I can’t express how exited I am to see the whole pizza community come together! It is hands down my favorite thing! This year’s show has so many highlights that I want to touch on a few that I am so hyped about weeks out.

Education Sessions that move the needle
I can’t wait to sit in on power sessions on the critical issues facing pizzeria operators. Jeremy White and the education program team have lined up fresh and vital sessions that hit on what keeps operators awake at night, from costs and profitability to team building, navigating operations and marketing. Test Driving New Tech and Sampling New Ingredients
I’ve spent the past few days deep in researching tech stack. It’s one thing to read about all the new tech emerging, I’m eager to test drive technology it in real life on the show floor at Pizza Expo. Keynote Addresses that Inspire
Earlybird gets inspired at 8:15 am in Las Vegas! Don’t sleep on the keynotes! This year’s keynote speakers are bringing their own unique energy to the stage. James Beard honored Wylie Dufresne brings his culinary prowess to the science of pizza making Tuesday. Your pizza curiosity will be unleashed. Then on Day 2, Matt and Hengam Stanfield, owners of our 2025 Pizzeria of the Year Mattenga’s Pizza will take the stage. The local San Antonio pizza company is a powerhouse concept fueled by great food, laser-focused ops, industry-leading marketing, and an engineer-minded back office.

Beer & Bull Idea Exchange 2.0
Beer & Bull has gone 2.0 and it will be the place to be Tuesday (4:30 pm). We pulled together as a team to create a networking event that is a more engaging and more interactive experience. Expect high energy and story driven networking.

Mind-blowing Competitions
Every year, the International Pizza Challenge has leveled up. This year, expect to see three days of the biggest, best pizza competition in the world, highlight incredible pizzas, talented pizza makers and cornerstone pizza style categories. I’m jazzed for the new Italian Classica Division, along with my personal favorites: pan and America’s Best Cheese Slice.
There is so much more that is driving my excitement for this year’s Pizza Expo, like World Pizza Games, show floor demonstrations and getting to come together with this amazing pizza community. Don’t worry! There are still many surprises that we’ll continue to share leading up to the biggest and best Pizza Expo. Stay tuned.
