Juventus prepare for Spalletti’s extension as Tudor terminates contract
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Igor Tudor’s contract termination could pave the way for Luciano Spalletti’s contract extension with Juventus.
Multiple sources in Italy have reported that Juventus and their ex-coach Tudor have reached an agreement to terminate their deal, which was meant to end in 2027.
Juventus prepare for Spalletti’s extension
According to Gazzetta, Tudor gave up €1.5m for the current season and accepted severance pay for 2026-27. Tuttosport adds that Juventus have saved €5m thanks to their agreement with Tudor.
Gazzetta argues that this move will help Juventus prepare for Spalletti’s contract extension, especially from a financial standpoint.
The Tuscan tactician has collected consistent results at the Allianz Stadium, but according to Gazzetta, club directors are also happy with how the coach has transformed the team and changed the players’ attitude, as well as his efficient communication.
Spalletti’s contract only runs until the end of the season, but the Tuscan has recently reiterated that he’s in no hurry to sign a new contract.
Negotiations between the two parties might not begin in the coming weeks, but Juventus are surely determined to extend Spalletti’s stay beyond the end of the season.
