Donna Kelce Finally Reveals How She Ended Up on 'The Traitors'
For Donna Kelce, the journey to The Traitors castle began somewhere far more familiar than the Scottish Highlands: a weekend on the couch during NFL playoffs.
As the 73-year-old mom of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce made her way to the castle for Season 4, fellow contestant Monét X Change asked the question many viewers were already wondering — what do her famous sons think about her playing?
“They’re so excited,” Kelce said during the premiere episode, which dropped Thursday, Jan. 8. “They’re huge fans. Jason is the one that got me involved. We just literally one weekend during playoffs, we binged it. It was great.”
Later in her confessional, Kelce reflected on what it meant for her to be competing on the Emmy-winning series. “I’m so excited to be here,” she said. “I never thought in a million years I would get this chance.”
She also framed the experience as part of a larger personal moment. “When you get to a certain part in your life and your kids are starting their own families, it’s so important to reinvent yourself,” she said. “Do the things you’ve always dreamt of. And that’s how I ended up in Scotland.”
Kelce joins a Season 4 cast filled with familiar faces from across reality TV and pop culture — from Survivor winner Natalie Anderson and legend Rob Cesternino, to Laguna Beach alum Stephen Colletti, RuPaul’s Drag Race star Monét X Change, Real Housewives staples like Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Porsha Williams, and Dorinda Medley, Bachelor alum Colton Underwood, singer Eric Nam, comedian Ron Funches, and Olympic figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir. Unlike many of her fellow contestants, Kelce didn’t arrive with a history of gameplay or alliances, but as a genuine fan of the series.
The Traitors Season 4 is now streaming on Peacock.
