Kaia Gerber Is Hard at Work on Set for 'The Shards'

Kaia Gerber is putting in the work on the set of her new show The Shards.

The 24-year-old model and actress was spotted filming the new Ryan Murphy series along the Pacific Coast Highway on Wednesday (January 7) in Los Angeles.

Wearing high-waisted jeans, which she paired with a purple top and dark jacket, she filmed in a car alongside costar Homer Gere.

Kaia was also seen taking a call and enjoying some down time between takes.

The daughter of Cindy Crawford signed on for the project, which is being created for FX, back in May 2025.

The Shards is based on Bret Easton Ellis‘ prep school thriller novel of the same name.

Here’s a synopsis of the story, provided by Deadline: The Shards is a “dark coming-of-age tale with semi-autobiographical facets for Ellis. Set in Los Angeles in 1981, the story follows a 17-year-old version of Ellis during his final year at the elite Buckley prep school. Upending the character’s world is the arrival of a mysterious new student, Robert Mallory, whose unsettling presence coincides with the activities of a serial killer known as The Trawler.”
