DPP-UK Wing Executive Meets Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah In Nottingham

The Executive Committee of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) UK Wing recently held a high-level engagement with the Vice President of the Republic of Malawi, Dr. Jane Ansah, in Nottingham, reaffirming the Wing’s commitment to leadership, unity, and active diaspora participation in national development.

The meeting was held at the private residence of the Vice President in Nottingham. The event provided a platform to share experiences and discuss ways to support the party’s national agenda.

The gathering underscored the vital role of the Malawian diaspora in fostering political and civic engagement back home.

In his welcome address, Dr. Kennedy Nkhoma, Chairperson of the DPP-UK Wing, congratulated Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and Dr Jane Ansah following landslide victory during the September 16th elections.

He also highlighted the importance of diaspora involvement in Malawi’s development.
“This gathering is a testament to the enduring bond between Malawians abroad and the leadership back home,” Dr. Nkhoma said. He also added that “We are committed to strengthening our engagement and contributing to Malawi’s progress in meaningful ways.”

During the proceedings, gifts were presented to Vice President Dr. Ansah and President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, symbolizing respect, gratitude, and continued partnership between the DPP-UK Wing and Malawi’s political leadership.

Vice President Dr. Ansah thanked the DPP-UK Wing for their support and emphasized the role of Malawians abroad in promoting national unity, civic participation and development initiatives.

She urged the diaspora to continue collaborating with the party to advance Malawi’s socio-economic and political goals.

The meeting concluded with both the DPP-UK Wing executive and the vice president committing to closer collaboration, stronger diaspora ties and continued support for Malawi’s leadership and development.
