Since launching last year, the ESPN streaming service has become a must-have app for sports fans. For the first time, all of the flagship ESPN properties are available in full in one place.
The new ESPN streaming service, which initially launched in August 2025, is a one-stop shop for all things ESPN. The streamer offers all of ESPN's linear networks under one app, in addition to other popular ESPN streaming content. This is a landmark move as more networks begin to launch individual streaming services and double down on their existing DTC (direct-to-consumer) properties. Previously, the cheapest way to regularly live stream the ESPN network directly was through a live TV streaming service, which tends to get pricey as you'll need to pay for other channels as well (even if you're not watching them), but the launch of ESPN Unlimited offers a $29.99 a month solution for sports fans through the enhanced ESPN app.
Below, we've outlined everything you need to know about the new ESPN streamer. You can find details on costs, bundling options, and how to sign up. We've also broken down what former ESPN Plus subscribers can expect with the transition.
How much is the new ESPN streaming service?
The new ESPN streaming service costs anywhere from $12.99 a month to $54.99 a month, depending on which plan or bundle you sign up for. ESPN Select is the cheapest option at $12.99 a month or $129.99 a year, and ESPN Unlimited is the most expensive stand-alone option, with plans starting at $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year.
There are several bundle options for ESPN, Disney Plus, and Hulu. Two plans include access to ESPN Unlimited. The basic bundle combines ESPN Unlimited with ad-supported Disney Plus and Hulu for $35.99 a month, while the premium bundle combines ESPN Unlimited with ad-free Disney Plus and Hulu for $44.99 a month.
The other two plans bundle ad-supported Disney Plus, ad-supported Hulu, and ESPN Select for $19.99 a month or ad-free Disney Plus, ad-free Hulu, and ESPN Select for $29.99 a month. ESPN Unlimited and ESPN Select will always be ad-supported due to the nature of live TV.
ESPN has also launched more sports-centric bundling opportunities, which allow fans to subscribe to ESPN Unlimited and FOX One or NFL Plus Premium for a reduced rate when compared to paying for multiple services separately. The ESPN Unlimited and FOX One bundle costs $39.99 a month, compared to the $49.98 you'd pay for the two services separately each month. The ESPN Unlimited and NFL Plus Premium bundle also costs $39.99, compared to the $44.98 a month you'd pay when subscribed to the two services separately.
For a quadruple bundle, ESPN will also allow you to combine the Disney Plus (with ads), Hulu (with ads), and ESPN Unlimited bundle with NFL Plus Premium for $45.99 a month. There's also a Premium tier that combines Disney Plus (no ads) and Hulu (no ads) with ESPN Unlimited and NFL Plus Premium. This option costs $54.99 a month.
While the stand-alone ESPN Select and Unlimited plans have annual options, which can save consumers money year-over-year compared to paying monthly for 12 months, the bundle options are only available on a month-to-month basis.
ESPN Select's monthly plan and annual plans, and bundles that include ESPN Select faced a price hike on October 21, 2025. Prices previously started at $11.99 a month. Bundles with ESPN Unlimited did not increase in price.

What are the different ESPN streaming service plans?
ESPN has several different subscription options. The two stand-alone ESPN plans are Select and Unlimited. ESPN Select is just ESPN Plus with a new name. It offers the same 30,000+ live events, including select coverage from ESPN and ABC networks, but it doesn't have 1:1 live streams of the channels. Streaming exclusive programming that isn't aired as a national broadcast is still referred to as ESPN Plus content, and it's available through both ESPN Select and ESPN Unlimited.
ESPN Unlimited carries ESPN Select/Plus offerings and live content from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU, ESPNews, ESPN Deportes, ESPN on ABC, the SEC Network, SEC Network Plus, the ACC Network, and ACC Network Extra.
The best bundle options combine ESPN Unlimited or ESPN Select with ad-supported Disney Plus and Hulu or ad-free Disney Plus and Hulu. Disney Plus unlocks an impressive suite of content from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel, while Hulu carries popular network TV shows, films, and streaming originals.
The sports-centric bundles combine ESPN Unlimited with FOX One or NFL Plus Premium. FOX One functions like ESPN Unlimited but for FOX properties, meaning that subscribers can stream all FOX content (including live streams of flagship channels) through the app.
NFL Plus Premium carries every single local and primetime NFL game of the regular and postseason in one place, in addition to NFL RedZone coverage. It's worth noting that NFL Network games and RedZone coverage are available on most devices, but the rest of the local and primetime matchups can only be live streamed on phones and tablets (not TVs).
Although you can watch some Hulu and ESPN programming within the Disney Plus app if you're subscribed to a bundle, FOX One and NFL Plus Premium remain separate apps.
How to sign up for the new ESPN streaming service
It's easy to sign up for the new ESPN streaming service. Just go to the ESPN streaming website and sign up. You can also sign up for the service with the Disney Plus and Hulu bundles via the Disney Plus website. If you're interested in one of the sports bundles with FOX One or NFL Plus Premium, you'll need to go through the ESPN website.
No matter which plan you're trying to sign up for, be it a stand-alone or bundle, you'll be required to make a MyDisney login. If you've ever had a Disney Plus, Hulu, or ESPN Plus account, you'll have a MyDisney login via the email associated with your account. If you haven't subscribed to a Disney-owned streamer in the past, you'll be prompted to make a MyDisney login for the first time. Creating a MyDisney login is free and doesn't require payment.
Once you sign in with your new or existing account, you'll be able to see all plan options and select the subscription of your choice. From there, you can input your desired payment method if you don't already have one saved.

What about existing ESPN Plus subscribers?
Existing ESPN Plus subscribers were automatically enrolled in ESPN Select at launch, so they don't need to worry about signing up again. The same goes for those who were enrolled in a Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus bundle.
Are there other ways to get ESPN Unlimited?
There are a few other ways to gain access to ESPN Unlimited. Select TV partners automatically include ESPN Unlimited. If you're subscribed to Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Spectrum TV, or one of the eligible DirecTV streaming plans, then you'll be able to activate an ESPN plan through your service. This is applicable to both existing subscribers and new customers who sign up for any of the above plans.
Is there an ESPN Unlimited or ESPN Select free trial?
Neither ESPN Unlimited nor ESPN Select has a free trial. Most Disney-owned streaming services (other than Hulu) have gotten rid of their free trial offers over the years, and we don't expect one to pop up any time soon. However, a handful of live TV streaming services (such as DirecTV and Fubo) unlock access to ESPN and ESPN Unlimited in select plans and offer free trials for new customers.
