'Heated Rivalry' Earns First Award Nomination for GLAAD Media Awards 2026

Heated Rivalry is officially an award-nominated television show!

The hit Crave original series, adapted from the “Game Changers” book series by Rachel Reid, was just nominated for a 2026 GLAAD Media Award on Wednesday (January 7).

Heated Rivalry has been nominated for Outstanding New TV Series, alongside the likes of Boots, Chad Powers, Clean Slate, The Four Seasons, The Hunting Wives, I Love LA and more.

Author Rachel Reid shared the news on her Instagram story, simply with a blushing smiling face emoji.

Executive producer Brendan Brady celebrated the news on his Instagram story, writing, “Congratulations to the entire team but especially the incredible LGBTQ+ team members who made this show possible. Especially my main guy @jacob.tierney

One the show’s stars, Robbie G.K., also celebrated the exciting news on his own Instagram story.

“Beyond thrilled for @heatedrivlarycrave AND @overcompensating’s Nominations,” he wrote. Robbie also appears in the Prime Video series Overcompensating, which was nominated in the same category as Heated Rivalry. Both shows are renewed for second seasons!

This marks just the first award nomination for the series, which took the world by storm at the end of 2025, with more surely to come.

Coming up, stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie are set to serve as presenters at the upcoming 2026 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 11) in Los Angeles.
