Fun events coming up in Marin
• National Theatre Live brings the best of British theater to the screen, recorded live from London’s West End. David Ireland’s “The Fifth Step,” starring Jack Lowden (“Slow Horses,” “Dunkirk”) and Martin Freeman (“The Hobbit” movies, “Sherlock”) as two recovering alcoholics who bond in a 12-step program, will be shown at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lark Theater at 549 Magnolia Ave. in Larkspur. • The Metropolitan Opera’s performance of Vincenzo Bellini’s opera “I Puritani” screens live at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Lark Theater at 549 Magnolia Ave. in Larkspur. • Ross Valley Players presents “The Hello Girls,” Peter C. Mills and Cara Reichel’s musical about bilingual telephone operators during World War I, beginning with a preview show at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Barn Theater at 30 Sir Francis Drake Blvd. in Ross.
