‘Domestic terrorism’: Fatal ICE-related shooting sparks unrest in Minneapolis
An ICE-involved shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday has sparked local unrest, with Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz urging residents to “remain calm.”
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security said: “Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them – an act of domestic terrorism.
“An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots. He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers. The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. The ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.”

“This is the direct consequence of constant attacks and demonization of our officers by sanctuary politicians who fuel and encourage rampant assaults on our law enforcement who are facing 1,300% increase in assaults against them and an 8,000% increase in death threats.”

The shooting took place at East 34th and Portland Avenue.
Former FBI Special Agent Nicole Parker told Fox News the circumstances in this case “absolutely justifies the use of deadly force.”
“This will be fully justified, and no individual ever has the right to use their vehicle to ram into anyone, let alone a federal officer who is legally executing the law,” she said.
“You never want to have to use deadly force. Your hope is that you never ever have to use deadly force, but when it is justified, you have every right to defend your life.”
Democrat Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey slammed the Trump administration for sending federal agents to his city.
“To ICE, get the f*** out of Minneapolis,” Frey said at a news conference, adding “it does not appear to be the case” that the woman who was killed was using her vehicle as a weapon.

“The presence of federal immigration enforcement agents is causing chaos in our city,” he said on X.
“We’re demanding ICE to leave the city immediately. We stand rock solid with our immigrant and refugee communities.”
UPDATE: Things are spiraling fast in Minneapolis, as locals begin to fill the streets and a surge of ICE arrive after the shooting.
