Ben Johnson lookalike contest in Chicago suburbs comes with $1,000 prize

There’s only one real Ben Johnson, but Illinois is about to find his lookalike. A Johnson lookalike contest is happening Thursday before the Bears take on the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs Saturday.

Suburban Bedford Park is inviting fans to its Ben Johnson Look-A-Like Contest at the Wintrust Sports Complex from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Fans of all ages are welcomed to participate, show off their similarities and maybe rip off their shirts to show their love for the team. The event will feature a complimentary food buffet from Moretti’s, free parking, and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three contestants who look most like Johnson. First place will receive a $1,000 Visa gift card and free car washes for a year from Gas N Wash. The second-place winner gets a $500 Visa gift card and free pizza for a year from Moretti’s, while third place takes home a $300 Visa gift card.

Door and raffle prizes will also be available throughout the event. The Village of Bedford Park advises attendees to arrive early.
