Rob Reiner's Wife Michele Sent Email Just Hours Before Death: Read the Text
An email sent by Michele Reiner just hours before her tragic death alongside her director husband Rob Reiner has been revealed.
The Reiners had become friends with an incarcerated man named Nanon Williams, who received a life sentence after being convicted of killing a man in 1992. Nanon has said he’s innocent.
His story inspired Bryonn Bain‘s play Lyrics From Lockdown, which the Reiners first saw 10 years ago. They contacted him and have been in touch since.
“Michele was my heart,” Nanon said in a new interview with NBC News.
He shared that Michele had actually emailed him on December 13 at 8:26 p.m. ET.

The next day, they were found dead. Their son Nick, 32, was arrested, charged, and called “responsible” for the deaths.
Michele and Rob had seen a production of the play just before their passing.
She wrote Nanon to tell him.
“I’m sure you have heard from [your wife] Tera, but the show last night was amazing. We’ve seen it several times but he keeps improving it and it gets better and better. He has more videos of you which are great. He’s so talented. We all said that we can’t wait to watch it with you,” she wrote.
“Your whole family was there, it was great. I loved your mother. She is so beautiful and I told her that she must have done something right because you turned out so well. And your sisters were there and all the kids. And [Georgetown professor Marc Howard] and his girlfriend. We also brought Billy Crystal, who loved it and was so moved by it.”
Michele ended the email with, “Hope you’re doing well. Love you.”
