Nikki Glaser Names One Celebrity She Can't Make Jokes About at Golden Globes 2026

Nikki Glaser is gearing up to host the Golden Globes again!

The 41-year-old comedian will be returning as the host of the 2026 awards show for the second year in a row on Sunday, January 11 at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

In a new interview ahead of the show, Nikki revealed that there’s one celebrity that she’s not allowed to roast during the ceremony.

Keep reading to find out more…While appearing on CBS Mornings on Tuesday (January 6), Nikki told Gayle King that she knows that audiences want her to go easy on Julia Roberts.

“I’m trying out my monologue around L.A., at the clubs here, and just even any joke about Julia Roberts, they are not there for,” Nikki explained. “You cannot make fun of America’s Sweetheart. So, whatever I end up saying about her, that is the most fine-tuned joke that I’ve worked on so hard, because it is very delicate.”

“They were booing, and I was like, ‘Is she here?’ It’s insane,” she added.

Nikki also said that her jokes this year will be more “covert” because “huge A-listers” like Julia, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Sean Penn are nominated.

“I am a huge fan of these people,” she shared. “It’s easy for me to take down the newer batch of actresses and actors who are younger than me. It’s like, ‘OK, I can make fun of you. I’m like a veteran.’ But when it’s people that I grew up admiring, it’s a different approach this year.”

“You have to be very delicate about making jokes that aren’t going to ruin anyone’s night,” Nikki continued. “But you also want to give the people at home something to laugh at, and you want to poke fun at the people that they’re dying for you to make fun of. People at home want you to make fun of the A-listers.”
