Boy, 17, killed in drive-by shooting in North Hills
A 17-year-old boy was killed in a gang-related, drive-by shooting in North Hills on Monday evening, Jan. 5, and police are asking the public for help identifying potential suspects.
Officers responded around 8:15 p.m. to a shots-fired call near North Sepulveda Boulevard and Parthenia Street, where they learned two separate shootings involving several boys had occurred, resulting in the victim being wounded in front of a pawn shop.
Two suspects drove up in a car and opened fire, striking the 17-year-old, police said. Paramedics took the victim to Northridge Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. His name was not released.
The investigation is ongoing.
