Trisha Paytas Says She's Considering Running for Congress in 2026

Trisha Paytas is considering making a major career change.

On Monday (January 5), the 37-year-old influencer uploaded a new YouTube video titled “2026 MANIFESTATIONS” where she revealed that she “would love to run” for her U.S. House of Representatives seat in California, where she lives with husband Moses Hacmon and their three kids.

Keep reading to find out more…“I know, it sounds so crazy to me, too,” Trisha said. “I really want to be able to truly make a difference because I see so much horrible stuff happening in the world — and happening right here in California as well.”

Then in a TikTok uploaded later that day, Trisha shared more about her intentions about potentially running for Congress. She said that she was “currently Googling” the process of running for Congress before sharing how the idea crossed her mind.

“The idea of me being representative for the state of California came to me in a dream — in a vision, if you will,” Trisha said. “It’s so vivid to me.”

She went on to say that after becoming a mom in 2022, she started to worry about “watching the world just crumble, little-by-little,” which she said has inspired her to start taking action.

“I never thought of myself as a political person until I started having kids and realizing, like, the world could be just so disastrous [and] dystopian for real by the time they get to be adults,” Trisha explained. “I was like, ‘Alright Trish, enough just, like, shutting it out, being ignorant.”

She also said that her “main goal” if she were to win a seat in Congress would be to increase the age requirements for participating in the adult entertainment industry to 25.

Also in the video, Trisha said that her campaign slogan could be “California could be good.”

“It could be good,” she said. “Just need to figure out a better system for everyone and everything.”

If she does decide to officially run for Congress, Trisha wouldn’t be the first celebrity to run for political office.
