Rumer Willis Enjoys ‘Afternoon Silliness’ With Her Adorable Daughter Louetta in the Cutest New Pictures
In the midst of post-holiday chores, Rumer Willis is making time for whimsy. The My Divorce Party star just shared the sweetest series of snaps with her daughter Louetta “Lou,” 2, and it shows how she prioritizes “silliness” as a mom.
“We took a quick break from cleaning up all day for some afternoon silliness ????,” Willis posted on Instagram this week. Silliness is the best, especially when you can let loose with your toddler, and Willis shared several selfies from the impromptu moment.
Dressed in a maroon sweater, Willis lies back on the floor with her blonde hair fanned out around her. Lou lies near her mom’s shoulder, looking adorable in a light blue dress with a tulle skirt and daisies on one strap. They are both making pouty lips for the camera in the cute selfie. Silly faces, tongues sticking out, and smiles categorize the rest of the snaps. They are having a blast hanging out and being goofy, and it’s so refreshing to see. Toddlers don’t need a lot to be happy — just a little attention and fun will do it!
“That is so sweet. What memories she will have,” one person commented. Another noted, “Nothing better than a quick pause for silliness.”
Willis’s sister Tallulah Willis commented, “I love my tunas gub gub.”
It’s such a good reminder for moms, especially when we get caught up in routine (and trying to catch up!). It’s always a good idea to have a little break for being silly.
In an interview with The New York Post in 2024, the Trail of Vengeance star opened up about growing up with parents Demi Moore and Bruce Willis and sisters Tallulah and Scout. “I think what I love about both of my parents is they really cultivated our imagination and the freedom of our expression,” she said. “We were allowed to wear whatever we wanted to school. I have a photo of me where I’m wearing black-and-white striped tights with a tutu and a red suede fringe jacket. And that’s what we got to wear to school. We got to be so silly.”
“I grew up in a house where we would lick each other’s faces, and my sisters and I would all — with my mom — we would all bathe together,” she continued. “And there was just a kind of crazy, silly, weirdo, goofy, naked house. I think that silliness and goofiness is so deeply a part of me, and it’s really what I want to help cultivate in [my daughter’s] life.”
And it seems like she’s already succeeding!
